Located in Charlemont
Although born in New York City, Norma Coli has lived in Western Massachusetts since she was 9 years old. She and her husband Bill founded Blue Heron Farm in 1975 on 120 hilltop acres in Charlemont, MA. On the farm, she, Bill and their son Jubal produce Certified Organic Pure Maple syrup on a commercial scale, breed, train and sell purebred Norwegian Fjord horses, manage a small herd of Boer goats, and offer farm vacation rentals. The Colis have recently (2013) conserved their entire farm through an APR and CR. She served for many years as Chair of the Charlemont Historic Commission during which she was a driving force behind the conservation of the Historic Bissell Covered Bridge, and its listing on the National Register of Historic Places. She has been a member of the FLT Board since ?? and currently serves as its clerk.
