Crafters Needed

The Franklin Land Trust will be sponsoring its 20th Annual Farm and Garden Tour on June 28th and 29th, 2008.  We are seeking local crafters who specialize in locally made or locally grown products as a new addition to the tour this year.

The Farm and Garden Tour is a self guided event featuring private gardens, working farms, and special places in Hampshire and Franklin County.  This year’s tour will be held in Ashfield, Plainfield and Hawley and will include gardens, working farms, artisan studios and special places.  The Land Trust does extensive advertising in newspapers, magazines and area radio stations.  In addition, over 2,000 postcards are sent to our mailing list and more cards will be distributed locally.  The tour usually attracts between 300 and 400 people for the weekend.

The craft show will be promoted as part of the Farm and Garden Tour in all of the Land Trust’s advertising.  This will be held at Sanderson Academy outdoors with food and bathroom facilities available.  Crafters will be responsible for providing their own tables, chairs and canopies.  The craft event will also be open to the

public for free.

Space size:  10’ X 10’

Fee:  $50.00 for both days.  Proceeds will support the Franklin Land Trust’s land

protection work in western Massachusetts as well as paying for the use of the school facilities.
