NEW THIS YEAR!

We can't say enough how much we ended up regretting the rider cap last year.  We set the cap for rider safety/enjoyment and to give ourselves some limit on what we had to prepare for.  The 700-rider limit was intended to exceed demand - but it didn't.  And anyone who was here can tell you, between the staggered start and the expanded lunch area, congestion was never an issue.  The cap was a bad idea ...

Moving forward, there are two things we want to avoid:  1) Having the roads packed with riders, and 2) forcing riders to register 360 days in advance just to get in.

Therefore, first and foremost, THERE WILL BE NO RIDER CAP.  Don't worry about that.  The lunch site is spacious, and we will again have a staggered start.

Second, we are adding a NEW COURSE, a 115K.  This course uses the same checkpoints, but it uses different roads, to spread people out more.  This course has a secondary purpose of being in between the 100K and 180K in difficulty level.  It starts super-easy and finishes super-hard, including the same Patten Hill climb of the 180K.

Finally, if registration exceeds expectations and there is a risk of congestion, we will open up more courses as needed.  The roads are out there ...
