Mark Zenick Land
Protection Fund

For 17 years I had
the pleasure and privilege of representing
the Land Trust in finding creative ways to protect our special rural
landscapes. I discovered time and again that those of us living in this
quiet pocket of Massachusetts - farmers, natives and transplants -
treasure
the tranquil hills and valleys which shape and comfort our shared lives
here. The Land Trust has been and will continue to be that purposeful
and
effective grassroots group which acts to save what we cannot afford to
lose.
New leadership will invigorate the organization and sustain the fruition
of
its mission. But as I learned over the many years, it is finally the
endorsement and support of friends and neighbors which make the Land
Trust
success possible. I urge all who care that our special area not succumb
to
suburbanization to give often and generously in order that the Land
Trust
can ensure that we all can leave the striking splendor of this place for
generations yet to savor. It has been a blessing for me to do this work.
May
the green, glorious goodness of our unfilled landscapes heap blessings
upon
all who draw comfort and renewal from its bounty.
