Online
Wednesday, March 10 & Thursday, March 11, 2021
Free
Franklin Land Trust is proud to partner with Hilltown Land Trust in bringing you a pair of webinars focused on capturing images of the animals around us. Join us at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 10th & Thursday, March 11th as we host wildlife camera expert Sally Naser (CR Wildlife Cams) and artist Elizabeth Whelan as they introduce us to the worlds of wildlife camera photography and wildlife illustration.
On Wednesday, March 10th Sally Naser will offer an introductory guide to trail cameras, including how and where to set them up to best capture our wild neighbors. Sally will share images from her many cameras sited on protected land from across the state, including properties in western Massachusetts and the Berkshires.
The following evening, artist Elizabeth Whelan will lead a program on the fundamentals of wildlife illustration. Using some of the fantastic images from Sally’s cameras as our models, Elizabeth will offer tips on how to quickly sketch wildlife when viewed in their natural habitat.
These programs will be conducted via Zoom, and are offered free and open to the public, although pre-registration is required.
This program is supported in part by grants from the Plainfield, Ashfield, and Conway Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
