Creating Gardens in the Spirit of Place

Join Julie Fisher and Ron Gorevic as they look back on the journey of creating their gardens from an untamed environment full of its own history— the joys and challenges, headaches and surprises of crafting beautiful spaces from wildness, spaces that seamlessly blend with Mother Nature’s designs.

Julie has been gardening for well over half of her life. Her previous gardens in Ashfield hosted FLT’s last Farm and Garden Tour. From this, their new location in Hawley, she and her husband Ron hope to impart some hard-won knowledge and to inspire others to create beautiful oases of their own, whether large or small.

Following the workshop, a 3-mile guided loop walk will be available to view some of the 250-acre scenic property.  (Be aware this is a moderately challenging walk through the woods, past a rock-faced cliff and many old stone walls, with one short very steep section.)
