Full Moon Snowshoe Hike
February 24th at 6pm
Join us February 24th at 6:00pm for a full moon snowshoe hike through the Schoelzel trails of Hawley and into the Kenneth M Dubuque Forest, led by Hugh Schoelzel. If the sky is clear, we will get to enjoy stunning views of the stars and explore the winter landscape by the light of the full moon. The hike will conclude with a bonfire and hot chocolate at Hugh’s farm.
Make sure to Wear warm clothing (layers, hat, gloves, etc) and bring with you:
• Snowshoes or hiking boots and poles (dependent on snow cover)
• Water bottle and snacks
• A flashlight or headlamp in case clouds cover up the moon
In the not so unlikely event that snow never materializes, the event will proceed as a full moon hike, minus the snowshoes.
We will keep you updated on the conditions in Plainfield as we get closer to the event.
