Come learn about native pollinators and pollinator plants at the Crowningshield Conservation Area! The town of Heath, Massachusetts has some of the greatest pollinator diversity in the state. Program leader Cesi Marseglia will walk us through a preliminary introduction to native bees, wasps, and butterflies, while also introducing the plants they’re visiting. Why are native plants important to native pollinators, and vice versa? Do pollinators visit all flowers indiscriminately? What about a flower is attractive to its most common pollinators? These questions and more will be answered in the course of our peaceful pollinator stroll.

This program has applied for support from the Heath Cultural Council and the Charlemont-Hawley Cultural Council, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
