Earth Day Tracking Workshop – April 22

Have you ever wondered how to tell where animals have been once there’s no longer snow on the ground? Would you like to enliven your experiences in the forest by sharpening your perception?
To celebrate Earth Day and in honor of Give Back to the Land Day - local naturalist Cesi Marseglia and FLT’s Head Land Steward, Will Sloan Anderson will present a tracking and habitat workshop at Guyette Farm in Plainfield on Friday, April 22 from 10:30am-noon.
We will be discussing tree ID and important geographical features for defining animal habitat, track and sign identification, and best approaches for beginner trackers, including how to keep your own tracking journal. We will also learn about animals’ home ranges, behaviors, and how to discern animals' movements and foot structures during mud season! We look forward to seeing you there!
Participation is limited to 15. This workshop is targeted for adults and children 12+. Please sign up below or contact us at 413-625-9151.
