This spring, join FLT staff and community members on a series of moderately-paced hikes around Franklin County. Together we’ll explore properties protected for public use by Voluntary Public Access easements, made possible by a program facilitated by FLT with the support of Mass DCR and the NRCS.
Attendance will be capped at 25 people, and adherence to FLT’s COVID-19 safety protocols is required.
Pre-registration is required for all participants.

Enjoy access to Conway’s South River, miles of maintained trails and roads for hiking and birding, and just over 200 acres open for hunting. This mostly forested property has been managed for the last 20 years to increase habitat for birds and other wildlife through programs such as MA DCR Forest Stewardship Program, Foresters for the Birds and the NRCS EQIP program.

Hiking Difficulty: moderate
Location: Reed’s Bridge Road, Conway. From the center of Conway, take Elm Street past Fields Memorial Library, continue on to Reed’s Bridge Road. Follow for approximately .6 miles. The sign for this public access area will be on your right. The access area is on both sides of the road. Parking is along the side of the road, or at the log landing. Please do not block any gates when parking.
